《终结平均：如何在趋同的世界脱颖而出》（第六章）翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本文是一篇翻译项目报告。翻译报告的原文选自《终结平均:如何在趋同的世界脱颖而出》(The End of Average:How We Succeed in a World That Values Sameness)一书的第六章“我们都不走寻常路”(We All Walk the Road Less Traveled)。该书由哈佛大学教育学家罗斯所著。作者在书中列举大量的科学例证,并结合自身经历,提出平均值思维容易泯灭个性特征这一观点。通过详细介绍个性极值管理的三项思维原则,罗斯启发人们摆脱平均值思维定式,关注个性发展。本报告以彼得·纽马克的交际翻译理论为指导,主要探讨交际翻译理论在翻译信息文本中的应用。报告第一章介绍该翻译项目的背景,意义和结构。第二章对源文本进行分析,其中包括作者介绍,以及源文本的主要内容和文本分析。第三章阐述纽马克的翻译理论,包括文本类型、语义翻译和交际翻译理论。第四章着重分析翻译难点以及翻译策略和翻译技巧的应用。在交际翻译理论的指导下,译者主要采用转换、分译及重组等翻译技巧来解决翻译难点,在翻译中有效传达信息,尽可能使译文对目的语读者所产生的效果与源语读者感受到的效果大致相同。最后一章总结翻译过程中译者获得的心得体会及待解决的问题。
[Abstract]:This article is a translation project report. The translated report is taken from chapter 6 of "We All Walk the Road less Traveled" in the end of average: how We succeed in a World that values Sameness. The book is written by Harvard educator Ross. The author lists a large number of scientific examples in the book, and puts forward the view that the average thinking is apt to devoid of the personality characteristics combined with his own experience. By introducing the three thinking principles of personality extremum management in detail, Ross inspired people to get rid of the average thinking formula and pay attention to the development of personality. Guided by Peter Newmark's communicative translation theory, this report focuses on the application of communicative translation theory in translation information texts. The first chapter of the report describes the background, significance and structure of the translation project. The second chapter analyzes the source text, including the author's introduction, the main content of the source text and the text analysis. Chapter three elaborates Newmark's translation theory, including text type, semantic translation and communicative translation. Chapter four focuses on translation difficulties and the application of translation strategies and techniques. Under the guidance of communicative translation theory, translators mainly use translation techniques such as translation, translation division and recombination to solve translation difficulties and convey information effectively in translation. As far as possible, the effect of the target text on the target language reader is similar to that felt by the source language reader. The last chapter summarizes the translator's experience in translation and the problems to be solved.
