英汉形容词与头部名词的搭配研究
[Abstract]:The study of morphological collocation acts as a bridge and hub for lexicology and syntactic studies. Human body words belong to the basic vocabulary in the lexical system. The head, located at the top of the body, is the most critical part of the body. Therefore, this paper will take head nouns such as "head/ head", "ear/ ear", "eye/ eye", "nose/ nose", "mouth/ mouth" as research objects, under the guidance of ideal cognitive model in conceptual metaphor and metonymy theory, using semantic component analysis method, using English and Chinese corpus and dictionary as tools. This paper analyzes the process of semantic change of adjectives and their collocation characteristics. The conclusion of this study is as follows: (1) the semantic transfer occurs in the collocation of head nouns and adjectives in English and Chinese. In general, the transfer of head nouns in English is greater than that in Chinese. The semantic transfer of "mouth" and "head" is the largest. 2) the combination of English and Chinese adjectives and head nouns is composed of its own meaning or its meaning as well as its added meaning. The combination concept is mainly obtained by adjectives through metaphor and head nouns by metonymy, and head nouns play a more important role. The semantic transfer of head nouns takes place mainly through the ideal cognitive models such as part and whole production perception and place among which part of the model is the most prominent. In English, semantics are mainly based on the morphology and functional features of head nouns, while in Chinese, they are mostly based on the morphological features of head nouns. The collocation of head nouns and adjectives in English and Chinese has the characteristics of semantic consistency, relevance and particularity. This study enriches the contrastive study of adjectives and head nouns. This study is of great significance to language research and teaching.
