对高中英语学困生实施自然拼读教学的行动研究
[Abstract]:Although vocabulary explanation is included in high school English curriculum, many students still have many problems in pronunciation or spelling of words, especially for those students with poor English foundation. The separation of sound, form and meaning is one of the biggest obstacles to learning English. Therefore, as an English teacher in senior high school, the author tries to implement natural spelling in class to help students solve this problem. Perhaps using natural spelling to help students to develop phonetic correspondence, sounds a bit "undone." However, it is necessary to establish the phonetic relationship between the letters or the combination of letters and the phonetic relationship between the letters or the alphabet combinations for the poor English students in senior high school who lack phonetic awareness. Based on the theory of constructivism and language transfer, this paper discusses the effect of natural spelling on the students with English learning difficulties in senior high school from three aspects: phonological awareness, spelling ability and spelling ability. And try to answer the following questions: (1) whether the natural spelling method is helpful to the students with English learning disabilities in high school in phonological awareness, if so, To what extent has it helped? (2) does natural spelling help high school students with English learning difficulties in spelling skills, if so, To what extent has it helped? (3) does natural spelling help high school students with English learning difficulties in spelling skills, and if so, to what extent? In this study, 52 subjects were selected from the class taught by the author. The average score of most of the students was less than 90 (total score: 150). Before the implementation of the natural spelling method, the subjects were investigated with questionnaires, interviews, phonological awareness tests, word spelling tests and word spelling tests. Then perform a natural spelling, supplemented by a large number of exercises. After the implementation of natural spelling, questionnaires, interviews, phonological awareness tests, word spelling tests and word spelling tests were conducted to provide the data for this study. The statistical data of this study show that natural spelling can effectively help high school students with English learning to improve their phonological awareness, spelling ability and spelling ability to a certain extent, and then help them to get rid of the predicament of learning English. First of all, natural spelling can help high school students with English learning to improve their phonological awareness. By comparing the results of pre-test, we can see that the post-test score is higher than that of pre-test score, whether it is the highest score, the lowest score or the average score. Especially in the average score, the average score of post-test was 16 points higher than that of pre-test, and the percentage of students who got more than 60 points increased from 40% to 68%. Second, the natural spelling method can improve the ability of high school students with English learning difficulties in spelling words. The average score on the post-test was 72 points, 16 points higher than the pre-test score. In addition, natural spelling helps students establish correspondence between letters and combinations of letters and their pronunciation, allowing students to read unfamiliar words without the help of phonetic symbols. Third, natural spelling can improve the spelling ability of high school students with English learning difficulties. It can be seen from the post-test results that the scores of the post-test, whether the highest score, the lowest score, the average score or the score of each score section, are all higher than those of the pre-test, and the average score has been raised from 28 to 44, which is a very significant improvement. In addition, the teaching contents and strategies adopted by the author in this action study can be used as a useful attempt in English pronunciation teaching in senior high school, and also have certain guiding significance for adult English learners with poor English learning effects.
