《教师职业:现状与未来》(第五章)翻译实践报告

【摘要】:随着信息技术的快速发展和全球一体化的进程加快,各国间知识的传播与交流不断加强,为翻译带来了巨大的发展机遇。中国从国外引进大量社科类著作,旨在吸收国外先进文化,促进国内社会的发展。本篇翻译实践材料选自社科类著作《教师职业:现状与未来》一书中第五章节“教师是一种职业”的部分内容。该翻译材料主要从选拔、教师教育、环境、职业前景、评估、教师形象、学校管理等方面来阐述如何提高教师职业的素质以及作者对未来教育发展的期待与展望。本翻译实践项目主要从英汉对比的研究角度出发,根据英汉两种语言的不同特征,选择合适的翻译策略,指导译者的翻译过程。本实践报告通过分析翻译过程中遇到的词汇难点、句法难点和专业知识难点,阐述了译者的翻译思路,展现了各种翻译技巧的运用。经过此次翻译和撰写实践报告的过程,译者总结出自己翻译社科类文章的经验,深刻认识到掌握英汉两种语言差异性的重要性,同时意识到自己在翻译专业文献表现出不足,旨在为今后实践提供参考。
[Abstract]:With the rapid development of information technology and the acceleration of the process of global integration, the dissemination and exchange of knowledge among countries have been strengthened, which has brought great opportunities for translation. China introduced a large number of social science books from abroad, aiming to absorb foreign advanced culture and promote the development of domestic society. This translation of practical materials is selected from the fifth chapter, "teacher is a profession," in the social science book "the profession of Teachers: present and Future". The translation material mainly discusses how to improve teachers' professional quality and the author's expectation and prospect for the future education development from the aspects of selection, teacher education, environment, career prospect, evaluation, teacher image, school management and so on. From the perspective of contrastive study of English and Chinese, this translation project chooses suitable translation strategies to guide the translator's translation process according to the different characteristics of English and Chinese. By analyzing the lexical, syntactic and professional difficulties encountered in the process of translation, this report expounds the translator's translation ideas and demonstrates the application of various translation techniques. Through the process of translating and writing practical reports, the translator sums up his own experience in translating social science articles, realizes the importance of mastering the differences between English and Chinese, and at the same time realizes that he or she is deficient in translating professional literature. The purpose is to provide reference for future practice.
