【摘要】：经过三十多年的变革,中国的金融系统已初具规模且紧密联系于世界经济舞台。为了在国际金融竞争中获得优势,中国必须对世界金融信息、规则等有准确及时的了解。因而,中国需要大量的金融英语翻译人才,尤其需要兼具金融知识和翻译能力的人才。金融英语与普通常用英语不同,在措词、句式、行文风格等方面都有其特殊性。金融文本有大量专业术语,喜用长句和复杂句式,表达风格严谨正式,不带个人情感色彩。想要顺利成功地翻译一篇金融文本不是易事,译者需具备专业的翻译能力才能胜任此翻译工作。本文以翻译实践报告的形式,对金融著作进行了翻译。并在关联理论的指导下,辅以具体的例子,从词汇和句式等方面分析了此翻译过程中遇到的金融文本翻译困难,以及采取的翻译策略。在金融文本翻译中,词汇层面的主要问题是金融专业术语和缩略词的翻译,句法层面上则是长难句的翻译和被动句的处理。根据关联理论内容,翻译是一项特殊的交际方式,该交际的成功与否,取决于译者的翻译能力和经验。因此在翻译过程中,译者需尽力做到译文与原文的最大关联,传达原作者的意图,并且减少译文读者在在处理译文内容时所付出的心力。本文的主要写作目的是总结金融文本翻译策略,为金融文本翻译提供一些参考,也为译者将来的翻译工作提供基础。此外,也可为其他文本类型翻译提供些许借鉴。
[Abstract]:After more than 30 years of reform, China's financial system has begun to take shape and is closely linked to the world economic stage. In order to gain advantage in international financial competition, China must have accurate and timely understanding of world financial information and rules. Therefore, China needs a large number of financial English translators, especially those with both financial knowledge and translation ability. Finance English is different from common English and has its particularity in terms of wording, sentence structure and style of writing. Financial texts have a large number of technical terms, prefer long sentences and complex sentences, expressing style rigorous and formal, no personal emotional color. It is not easy to successfully translate a financial text. This paper, in the form of translation practice report, has translated financial works. Under the guidance of relevance theory and with concrete examples, this paper analyzes the financial translation difficulties encountered in the translation process and the translation strategies adopted in the process of translation from the aspects of vocabulary and sentence structure. In the translation of financial texts, the main problem at lexical level is the translation of financial technical terms and acronyms, while at the syntactic level it is the translation of long difficult sentences and the processing of passive sentences. According to relevance theory, translation is a special way of communication. The success of this communication depends on the translator's translation ability and experience. Therefore, in the process of translation, the translator should try his best to achieve the maximum relevance between the target text and the original text, to convey the intention of the original author, and to reduce the effort of the target reader in dealing with the content of the target text. The main purpose of this thesis is to summarize the strategies of financial text translation, to provide some references for financial text translation, and also to provide the basis for the translator's future translation work. In addition, it can also provide some reference for translation of other text types.
