《摩登家庭》中夫妻间冲突话语的语用分析

【摘要】：冲突话语作为一种语言现象,在日常交际中随处可见。国内外的许多学者已经从人类学、社会学和语言学等不同的角度对冲突话语进行了研究,但是对于夫妻间冲突话语展开的研究还相对较少。此外,国内学者在研究美国夫妻间的冲突话语时,全部利用从美国电视剧《绝望主妇》中获得的数据分析冲突话语。为了弥补这一不足,本文使用从美国情景喜剧《摩登家庭》中获得的数据,对夫妻间的冲突话语进行了语用研究。本论文以言语行为理论、会话分析和礼貌原则作为理论框架,利用从美国情景喜剧《摩登家庭》中获得的数据对美国夫妻间的冲突话语进行了语用分析。本文通过对数据的定性分析,研究了夫妻在冲突话语的不同阶段使用的语用策略,并利用定量分析计算了各种语用策略出现的频率。本文主要研究三个问题:(1)在《摩登家庭》中,夫妻的冲突话语呈现了哪些起始策略?(2)在《摩登家庭》中,夫妻的冲突话语呈现了哪些激化策略?(3)在《摩登家庭》中,夫妻的冲突话语呈现了哪些结束策略?通过数据分析,研究发现《摩登家庭》中的夫妻在冲突话语中主要使用了五种起始策略:反申明、反驳、提问、反驳-反申明和提问-反申明。在这五种策略中,美国夫妻更倾向于使用间接礼貌策略,如反申明和提问。美国夫妻主要采用了七种激化策略:否定、提问、打断、替代、负面评价、咒骂和重复。这些策略都是威胁面子的言语行为,其中提问策略是最常使用的。否定模式也是一种常见的能够激化夫妻间冲突话语的方式。最后,本文研究了冲突话语的结束策略。数据分析发现美国夫妻在冲突话语中主要使用了六种结束策略:屈服顺从、妥协让步、退出、第三方介入、意外事件干扰和话题转换。美国夫妻更倾向于使用退出策略来结束冲突话语。本文对夫妻间的冲突话语进行了语用分析,希望能够更加全面地描述夫妻间的冲突话语,并在一定程度上丰富对于这一语言现象的研究。同时,本文的研究发现能够促进夫妻间的相互理解,进而构建一个和谐的生活环境。
[Abstract]:Conflict discourse, as a linguistic phenomenon, can be seen everywhere in daily communication. Many scholars at home and abroad have studied conflict discourse from different angles of anthropology, sociology and linguistics, but the research on conflict discourse between husband and wife is relatively rare. In addition, when studying the conflict discourse between American couples, domestic scholars use the data obtained from the American TV series desperate Housewives to analyze the conflict discourse. In order to remedy this deficiency, this paper makes a pragmatic study of the conflict discourse between husband and wife using the data obtained from the American sitcom Modern Family. Based on the theory of speech act, conversational analysis and politeness principle, this thesis makes a pragmatic analysis of the conflict discourse between American couples using the data obtained from the American sitcom Modern Family. Based on the qualitative analysis of the data, this paper studies the pragmatic strategies used by husband and wife in different stages of conflict discourse, and calculates the frequency of various pragmatic strategies by using quantitative analysis. This paper mainly studies three questions: (1) in Modern Family, what is the starting strategy of the conflict discourse of husband and wife? (2) in Modern Family, what is the intensification strategy of the conflict discourse of husband and wife? (3) in Modern Family, What are the strategies for ending the conflict between husband and wife? Through data analysis, it is found that couples in Modern Family mainly use five starting strategies in conflict discourse: counterstatement, rebuttal, questioning, rebuttal and questioning. Among the five strategies, American couples tend to use indirect politeness strategies, such as counterstatement and questioning. American couples adopt seven strategies: negation, questioning, interrupting, substitution, negative evaluation, cursing and repetition. These strategies are face-threatening speech acts, among which the question-asking strategy is the most frequently used. Negative mode is also a common way to intensify the conflict between husband and wife. Finally, this paper studies the ending strategy of conflict discourse. Data analysis shows that American couples mainly use six end strategies in conflict discourse: surrender, compromise, withdrawal, third party intervention, accidental interference and topic change. American couples tend to use exit strategies to end conflict discourse. This paper makes a pragmatic analysis of the conflict discourse between husband and wife in the hope that it can describe the conflict discourse more comprehensively and enrich the study of this language phenomenon to a certain extent. At the same time, this study can promote the mutual understanding between husband and wife, and then construct a harmonious living environment.
