话语修辞与英国国家形象构建——以英国外长第70届联大演讲为例

【摘要】：本文以英国外长菲利普·哈蒙德(Philip Hammond)第70届联大演讲为语料,通过话语修辞分析,展示英国外长如何构建英国国家形象。研究发现,他巧妙地运用了亚里士多德修辞理论(诉诸人格、诉诸情感、诉诸逻辑)成功塑造了英国是"国际组织的建设者、人类福祉的贡献者和国际正义的维护者"的国家形象。
[Abstract]:Based on the speech of British Foreign Minister Philip Hammond (Philip Hammond) 70th General Assembly, this paper shows how the British Foreign Minister constructs Britain's national image through rhetorical analysis. The study found that his clever use of Aristotle's rhetoric theory (appeal to personality, appeal to emotion, appeal to logic) succeeded in shaping Britain as "the builder of international organizations," National image as a contributor to human well-being and a defender of international justice.
