《年轻绅士素描》翻译实践报告

【摘要】：随着国际文化交流的日益频繁,作为各国间文化交流与传播的重要手段,翻译的重要性也日益突出。小说是文学作品中一个比较重要的体裁,它在促进世界各国文化交流中扮演着非常重要的角色。因此,小说翻译一直备受关注。本翻译材料选自英国19世纪著名作家查尔斯·约翰·赫芬姆·狄更斯的作品《年轻绅士素描》,共约一万个单词。狄更斯是一位以反映现实生活见长的作家,他的作品描绘了包罗万象的社会图景,贯彻惩恶扬善的人道主义精神,塑造出众多令人难忘的人物形象。主要作品有《匹克威克外传》、《雾都孤儿》、《老古玩店》、《艰难时世》、《我们共同的朋友》等。但是至今《年轻绅士素描》还没有中文译本,所以对他的这部作品进行翻译。本翻译报告旨在以功能对等理论对《年轻绅士素描》节选章节的汉译进行相应的指导,以最接近原文的自然对等翻译使译文读者对译文的反应最大程度地接近原文读者对原文所产生的反应。本翻译实践报告包括五部分:第一部分,任务描述;第二部分,理论基础;第三部分,翻译过程;第四部分,案例分析,举例分别从词汇、句子两个层面对译文作深入分析,词的翻译方面的方法有“变抽象为具体”、“增词译法”、“省词译法”以及“变换词性”四种,句子翻译方面的方法有“换序”、“断句”、“转态译法”三种;第五部分,对此次翻译实践的反思与总结。
[Abstract]:With the increasing frequency of international cultural exchanges, translation, as an important means of cultural exchange and communication between countries, is becoming increasingly important. Fiction is a relatively important genre in literary works, which plays a very important role in promoting the cultural exchange between countries all over the world. Therefore, the translation of novels has always been the focus of attention. This translation is based on a sketch of young gentleman by Charles John Herfham Dickens, a famous British writer in the 19th century, with a total of about 10,000 words. Dickens is a writer who reflects the real life. His works depict an all-encompassing social picture, carry out the humanitarianism spirit of punishing evil, and create many unforgettable figures. Major works include Picwick Legend, Orphan Twist, Old Antiquities, hard Times, our Common friend, etc. But there is no Chinese translation of Young Gentlemen's Sketch, so this work is translated. The purpose of this translation report is to guide the Chinese translation of excerpts from Sketch of Young Gentlemen based on functional equivalence theory. The natural equivalent translation which is the closest to the original text makes the reader's response to the target text as close as possible to the original text. This translation practice report consists of five parts: part one, task description; part two, theoretical basis; part three, translation process; part four, case study. There are four methods in the translation of words: "changing abstract to concrete", "adding words", "saving words" and "changing parts of speech", and the methods of sentence translation include "changing order", "breaking sentence", "translating state"; The reflection and summary of this translation practice.
