功能翻译理论指导下企业简介英译研究

【摘要】：企业简介的目的在于宣传企业的形象、企业产品以增强其竞争力。目前我国企业简介的翻译总体差强人意,部分译文也存在小到语法大到逻辑的问题,其主要原因在于汉语和英语差异大,又具有不同的文化背景。由于传统的翻译理论指导和译者的翻译水平,译者普遍倾向于以原文为中心,不会辨识摘取有用信息,这就是导致目前企业简介译文不佳的主要原因。以翻译目的论为核心的德国功能翻译理论,突破了传统的翻译理论的限制,为企业简介的翻译开辟了一个新的视角。目的论强调在翻译过程中,目标文本的目的和作用决定了译者在翻译过程中使用的翻译策略和翻译方法。企业简介的翻译并非单纯的语言转换,更重要的是翻译过程中文本功能的传达,从而达到目标读者的期望。本文采用对比分析和个案研究的方法。首先对中外企业简介进行比较,找出二者差异;然后指出中国企业简介翻译中存在的错误和问题;最后从功能翻译理论的角度提出相应翻译方法。通过对比分析,作者发现中英文本行文方式有很大不同,不论是选词还是句子结构差异巨大,因此在翻译中不能单纯对应,而是要采用相应的翻译方法。本文总结出三个翻译方法:梳理原文,转化和借鉴平行文本的翻译方法来提高译文质量,并将这些方法应用到实际案例中。事实证明这些方法是合理且有效的,这不但证明了功能翻译理论对企业简介翻译的指导意义,也拓宽了功能翻译理论的应用范围,为将该理论应用到企业其他材料的翻译实践中提供了思路。
[Abstract]:The purpose of the corporate profile is to promote the image of the enterprise, enterprise products to enhance its competitiveness. At present, the translation of corporate profiles in China is generally unsatisfactory, and some of the translations have problems ranging from grammar to logic. The main reason is that there are great differences between Chinese and English, as well as different cultural backgrounds. Because of the traditional translation theory guidance and the translator's translation level, the translator is generally inclined to focus on the source text and can not identify useful information, which is the main reason for the poor translation of the enterprise brief introduction at present. The German functional translation theory, centered on Skopos, breaks through the limitations of traditional translation theories and opens up a new perspective for the translation of corporate profiles. Skopos theory emphasizes that in the process of translation, the purpose and function of the target text determine the translation strategies and methods used by the translator in the process of translation. The translation of enterprise profile is not a simple language conversion, but more important is the transmission of the Chinese text function in the translation process, so as to meet the expectations of the target readers. This paper adopts the method of comparative analysis and case study. This paper first compares the Chinese and foreign corporate profiles to find out the differences between the two; then points out the errors and problems in the translation of Chinese enterprise profiles; and finally puts forward the corresponding translation methods from the perspective of functional translation theory. Through comparative analysis, the author finds that there are great differences between Chinese and English text, whether in the choice of words or sentence structure, so we should adopt the corresponding translation method instead of simple correspondence in translation. This paper summarizes three translation methods: combing the original text, transforming and drawing on parallel texts to improve the translation quality, and applying these methods to practical cases. Facts have proved that these methods are reasonable and effective, which not only proves the guiding significance of functional translation theory to corporate profile translation, but also widens the scope of application of functional translation theory. It provides some ideas for the application of this theory to the translation practice of other materials in enterprises.
