以戏剧为源域的功能主义视角下隐喻翻译研究

【摘要】:隐喻是一项影响深远的翻译研究领域,许多研究者都曾涉足该领域。现存的大多数研究都仅仅局限于从语言和修辞层面看待隐喻,关于戏剧隐喻翻译的研究却相对落后,因此戏剧隐喻翻译的研究显得尤为重要。本文从源域出发聚焦戏剧隐喻领域,并且采用功能主义作为其理论视角,为隐喻翻译提供了参考。为了深入研究,本文采用基于语料库的隐喻甄别方法MPA对笔者在进行翻译实践的各类戏剧介绍语料中甄别出隐喻,以定量定性的研究方法将戏剧隐喻进行了分类并归纳出戏剧隐喻的熟悉性、不一致性、独创性三大特点。同时,笔者在翻译实践过程中,以访谈形式对参与项目的译员和审校人员在进行戏剧隐喻翻译中所遇到主要困难进行了收集,进而分析出造成中国古诗和习语翻译是最主要困难的原因。基于源域隐喻研究的基础上,笔者在诺德功能主义指导下提出意译法和零翻译法两种不同的戏剧隐喻翻译方法,并列举大量翻译实例来进一步证明其可行性。本文从功能主义角度剖析戏剧隐喻翻译研究,丰富了隐喻研究的发展,以期为今后该领域的研究做出贡献。
[Abstract]:Metaphor is a far-reaching field of translation studies, many researchers have been involved in this field. Most of the existing studies are confined to the linguistic and rhetorical aspects of metaphor, but the study of drama metaphor translation is relatively backward, so the study of drama metaphor translation is particularly important. This paper focuses on the field of drama metaphor from the perspective of source domain and uses functionalism as its theoretical perspective to provide a reference for metaphor translation. For the purpose of further study, this paper uses the corpus-based approach of metaphor identification (MPA) to identify metaphors in various theatrical introductions in translation practice. This paper classifies drama metaphors by quantitative and qualitative methods and concludes three characteristics of drama metaphors: familiarity, inconsistency and originality. At the same time, in the course of translation practice, the author collects the main difficulties encountered by the translators and revisers involved in the translation of drama metaphors in the form of interviews. The main reason for the difficulty is the translation of ancient Chinese poetry and idioms. Based on the study of source domain metaphor, under the guidance of Nord's functionalism, the author puts forward two different translation methods of drama metaphor: free translation method and zero translation method, and enumerates a large number of translation examples to further prove its feasibility. From the perspective of functionalism, this paper analyzes the study of metaphor translation in drama, which enriches the development of metaphorical studies in order to contribute to the future study in this field.
