高校公共英语课堂教学有效性提升研究

【摘要】:在我国新一轮高等教育综合改革浪潮的推动下,高校不断创新发展思维,转变发展模式,以推动高等教育又好又快发展。高等教育发展具有多重性,从本质属性来说是社会需要培养人的过程,是发展,是生长,是社会个体化的过程。从社会属性来说教育具有永恒性、历史性、相对独立性这三个方面。高等教育是知识技术的传递与传承,是知识创造、技能创新的重要途径,而其中课堂教学在知识传承中扮演着非常重要的角色。我国高校发展起步晚,但发展速度快,基本上满足了社会经济发展的需求。但是,随着社会分工日益细化,社会经济发展对人才的需求越来越多样化,而高等教育人才培养改革却相对滞后,尤其是近年来课堂教学备受争议,课堂教学对学生的吸引力、影响力日益降低,使高校人才培养质量受到了严重影响,引发了学界和社会各界广泛的关注。虽然在公共英语教学领域改革如火如茶,但是学生的英语水平和能力依然难以满足就业和升学的需求。本文将围绕课堂教学有效性问题,来探索我国高校公共英语课堂教学质量提升的机理和途径。本文从高校公共英语课堂教学的现状及影响因素入手,运用文献分析法、问卷调查法、访谈法等,系统分析当前高校公共英语课堂教学的现状,认为存在的主要问题有:高校公共英语教材缺乏针对性和多样性;学生基础英语水平参差不齐以及学习兴趣也普遍不高;英语教师的教学任务相对偏多等。在此基础上,本文结合国外“有意义学习理论”、“最优化教学理论”和“多元智能理论”,深入探析了影响高校公共英语课堂教学有效性的因素主要有:教师综合能力、学生个人能力、教师和学生之间的互动等。进而提出提高教师综合能力、对学生实行因材施教、增加教师和学生之间的互动等方面来改进高校公共英语课堂教学的策略。
[Abstract]:Under the impetus of the new round of comprehensive reform of higher education in China, colleges and universities are constantly innovating and developing their thinking and changing their development mode in order to promote the good and rapid development of higher education. The development of higher education has many characteristics, which is the process of social need to cultivate human beings, the process of development, the growth of society and the individualization of society. From the social attribute, education has three aspects: permanent, historical and relative independence. Higher education is the transmission and inheritance of knowledge and technology, is an important way of knowledge creation and skill innovation, and classroom teaching plays a very important role in knowledge transmission. The development of colleges and universities in our country starts late, but the speed of development is fast, which basically meets the needs of social and economic development. However, with the increasing refinement of social division of labor, the demand for talents is becoming more and more diversified in the development of social economy, while the reform of talent training in higher education is relatively lagging behind, especially in recent years, classroom teaching is controversial, classroom teaching is attractive to students. With the decreasing influence, the quality of talent training in colleges and universities is seriously affected, which has aroused widespread concern in academic circles and social circles. Although the reform in the field of public English teaching is as hot as tea, the students' English proficiency and ability are still difficult to meet the needs of employment and higher education. This paper focuses on the effectiveness of classroom teaching to explore the mechanism and ways of improving the quality of public English teaching in colleges and universities in China. Starting with the present situation and influencing factors of public English classroom teaching in colleges and universities, this paper makes a systematic analysis of the present situation of public English classroom teaching in colleges and universities by means of literature analysis, questionnaire investigation, interview and so on. The main problems are: lack of pertinence and diversity in college English teaching materials; The students' basic English level is uneven and their interest in learning is not high, and the teaching tasks of English teachers are relatively many. On the basis of this, combining with "meaningful learning theory", "optimization teaching theory" and "multiple intelligences theory" abroad, this paper deeply analyzes the factors that affect the effectiveness of public English classroom teaching in colleges and universities: the comprehensive ability of teachers. Students' personal abilities, interaction between teachers and students, etc. Furthermore, the author puts forward some strategies to improve the teaching of public English in colleges and universities from the aspects of improving the comprehensive ability of teachers, teaching students according to their aptitude and increasing the interaction between teachers and students.
