《书面语与心理发展》(节选)翻译项目报告

【摘要】:本篇翻译项目报告以语言学著作《书面语与心理发展》(Written Language and Psychological Development)的第一章"语言及其表现形式"(On Language and Its Manifestations)为翻译对象,翻译内容主要讨论语言的定义,以及语言的物质和形式两种表现形式。该著作是一篇典型的学术型著作,具有学术性强,专业术语多,句型结构复杂,多长句、复合句、定语从句、插入语等特点。要求译者具备一定的语言学知识储备,具备较好的语法知识和逻辑思维能力。结合原文的语言特点,译者选择卡塔琳娜·赖斯的文本类型论作为本次翻译理论指导,遵循信息型文本翻译所要求的"直白无冗余,明晰化"原则来解决原文中的重点与难点。结合本翻译具体实例,灵活运用拆分法、转换法、增译法等翻译策略。除了遵循翻译理论外,还需要在具体实践中采用更加灵活的翻译方法来解决问题。本篇翻译实践报告论证了文本类型理论在翻译学习与实践中的重要性与实用性,希望本文可以为信息型文本的翻译研究提供一定的借鉴。同时,译者期待通过此次翻译实践能够进一步提高自身的翻译水平,向着成为一名合格译员的目标不断迈进。
[Abstract]:The first chapter of (Written Language and Psychological Development), "language and its manifestations" (On Language and Its Manifestations), is taken as the subject of this translation project report. The translation content mainly discusses the definition of language. As well as the language material and the form two forms of expression. This work is a typical academic work, with the characteristics of strong academic, many technical terms, complex sentence structure, long sentence, compound sentence, attributive clause, insert sentence and so on. Translators are required to possess certain linguistic knowledge, good grammatical knowledge and logical thinking ability. According to the linguistic characteristics of the source text, the translator chooses Katarina Rice's text typology as the guidance of this translation theory, following the principle of "no redundancy and clarity" required by the translation of informative text to solve the key and difficult points in the original text. According to the specific examples of translation, flexible use of split method, conversion method, additional translation and other translation strategies. In addition to following the translation theory, it is also necessary to adopt more flexible translation methods to solve the problem in practice. This translation practice report demonstrates the importance and practicability of text type theory in translation learning and practice, and hopes that this paper can provide some reference for the study of informative text translation. At the same time, the translator hopes that through this translation practice, he can further improve his translation ability and make continuous progress towards the goal of becoming a qualified interpreter.
