英汉基本颜色词的通感认知研究
[Abstract]:In this study, six basic color words in Chinese and English were used as the research object, and 12 self-built Chinese and English corpus as the research texts, the synaesthetic usage of the basic color words in both Chinese and English was compared and analyzed, and the reasons for their formation were tried to be explored. Among them, six basic color words in Chinese and English are determined by literature. They are black, white, red, yellow, green and blue. In the existing studies, there are no studies on these six basic color words, which are analyzed from the perspective of language synaesthesia. Therefore, this study provides a new way for synaesthesia research, enriching and developing the synaesthetic cognitive research of color words. By comparing and analyzing the synaesthesia of Chinese and English basic color words, there are three main findings in this study. First of all, there are 9 synesthesia types and 14 subcategories in the basic color words of both Chinese and English, in which the basic color words in Chinese are seven categories and 11 subcategories, while the basic color words in English are 8 categories and 12 subcategories. There are cross-synaesthesia types and special synesthesia types between the two languages. Second, there are two similarities in synaesthesia of each group of basic color words. First, each group of basic color words has at least one type of synesthesia, such as visual inner synaesthesia, tactile and color synaesthesia in red and red synaesthesia. Time-color synesthesia three major categories; Secondly, there are at least two synesthesia examples in each group of basic color words, such as dark red and dark red, flashing red and bright red, deep red and deep red in red and RED. In addition, there are also differences between each group of basic color words: first, at least one kind of special synaesthesia appears in Chinese or English in each group of basic color words, such as corpus red and RED, the time-color synaesthesia appears only in Chinese. Sound-color synaesthesia appears only in English. Second, some special synaesthesia cases only appear in Chinese, such as green oil and oil green, although the form is different, but they all belong to brightness and color synaesthesia. Third, there are similarities and differences between the synaesthesia of Chinese basic color words and English basic color words. The similarities between the two can be summarized as follows: first, there is synaesthesia in the basic color words of both Chinese and English, which may be due to the fact that the synaesthesia tendency is the common physiological basis of human beings; Second, the sense of taste, color synaesthesia and color-olfactory synaesthesia are rarely seen in Chinese and English corpus, and the frequency of use is relatively low, which is explained by Joseph William, a professor at the University of Chicago. Thirdly, sound and color can be transferred to source and target sensation in synaesthesia, which can be explained by William's sensory movement diagram. Time and color are similar, which may be related to the particularity of time. In addition, there are two differences between the synaesthesia of Chinese basic color words and English basic color words. First, from the overall frequency of synaesthesia of Chinese basic color words and English color words, yellow is the most frequent in Chinese, followed by yellow, black, red, white, green and blue. In English, yellow is the lowest, followed by black, green,. Blue, red, white and yellow. This may be due to cultural differences in color. Second, according to the types of synaesthesia in Chinese basic color words and English color synaesthesia, black, white and red, green, yellow and blue are the most common types of synaesthesia in Chinese, which is similar to the order in which color words appear in Chinese. Black is the first basic color word and moves more with other senses. In English, except for Huang, the other five basic color words are the same, and the possible reasons need further study.
