《发动机设备通用技术要求》汉英翻译实践报告

【摘要】：本报告拟对奈达翻译理论指导下的《发动机设备通用技术要求》汉英项目完成过程进行思考和总结。设备通用技术要求从范畴上来说,属于科技英语,其翻译遵循科技英语翻译的一般原则,如准确性、客观性、简洁性等,其中,准确性是最重要的原则。所谓准确性是指译文必须准确无误地传达原文的信息。在奈达功能对等理论的指导下,笔者首先从科技文本特征对原文的文本特征全面分析,确定了以直译为主的翻译策略,力求译文严谨准确地传达源文本所承载的信息,且形式从根本上符合目的语的使用习惯,使译文的行文造句易于为目的语读者所接受。报告还重点讨论了在具体的英汉语言转换过程中,笔者在充分比较英、中两种技术要求文本语言在句法异同的基础上,通过灵活运用增译、省译等一系列翻译技巧,实现了准确传达原文信息,以“最切近的自然对等”的译文标准,使译文具有高度可读性。
[Abstract]:This report is intended to reflect on and summarize the completion process of engine equipment General Technical requirements under the guidance of Nida's translation theory. The general technical requirements of equipment belong to EST in terms of category. Its translation follows the general principles of EST translation, such as accuracy, objectivity and brevity, among which accuracy is the most important principle. Accuracy means that the translation must convey the original information accurately. Under the guidance of Nida's functional equivalence theory, the author first analyzes the features of the original text from the perspective of the features of the scientific and technological texts, and determines the translation strategy based on literal translation in order to convey the information carried by the source text accurately and rigorously. And the form is basically in line with the usage of the target language, making it easy for the target language readers to accept the text of the target language. The report also focuses on a series of translation techniques, such as the flexible use of additional translation and the saving of translation, on the basis of a full comparison between English and Chinese in terms of syntactic similarities and differences in the specific process of English-Chinese language conversion. The translation standard of "the closest natural equivalence" is realized to convey the original information accurately, which makes the translation highly readable.
