翻译目的论视角下汉语网络流行语英译研究

【摘要】:网络流行语作为一种特殊的语言变体,是互联网时代的产物,它不仅带有语义特征,还承载着独特的文化内涵,反映了特定时期的社会形态、文化生活和大众心理,具有鲜明的时代性。网络流行语展现了各国各民族最新的文化走向和社会动态,更新速度快,涉及内容广。然而,由于中西方在语言及社会文化等方面存在差异,网络流行语的翻译必定会考虑接受语人群的文化与社会环境,因此,网络流行语的翻译不仅是一个单纯的交际问题,更是一种文化问题。研究者们已经对网络流行语的翻译进行了大量的研究,从内容表达、翻译策略、翻译技巧等方面进行过探讨,试图解决网络流行语翻译过程中出现的各种问题。本研究以翻译目的论为理论指导,通过对其在定义来源特点及文化内涵等各方面进行分析,归纳总结了网络流行语在特定文化下的翻译方法。本文共分为五大部分,第一部分前言,主要阐述研究的背景、研究的目的和意义及论文框架。第二部分为文献综述,主要对从理论方面综述了目的论的使用,并对以往网络流行语翻译的研究进行归纳总结。第三部分为理论框架,对翻译目的理论进行溯源,介绍其基本要点,对网络流行语进行定义,分析归纳其语言文化特点,为进一步将翻译目的论运用到网络流行语的英译研究中做好理论铺垫。第四部分是本文的主体,主要从翻译目的论视角出发,对汉语网络流行语英译应采取的翻译方法和技巧进行了探究。论文通过对大量汉语网络流行语英译实例的分析,归纳出汉语网络流行语英译的五种方法:1)直译法2)音译法3)注释法4)意译法5)创新翻译。这五种方法能有效地将不同类型的汉语网络流行语翻译成地道的英语。第五部分为结论,归纳总结前文的研究成果,研究缺陷及未来的研究方向,得出翻译目的论下的网络流行语英译方法在当今汉语网络流行语的英译实践中有极强的应用性,对世界不同文化的共同发展与繁荣有重要的参考价值与意义。本文从翻译目的论的角度探讨了网络流行语的特点及翻译方法和技巧,旨在更加清楚地了解网络流行语,能够在特定的文化内涵下采用恰当的翻译方法,将网络流行语的语义和文化内涵准确地传递给接受语读者,实现网络流行语在跨语言、跨文化交流中的有效性。
[Abstract]:As a special language variant, network buzzwords are the product of the Internet age. They not only have semantic features, but also bear unique cultural connotations, reflecting the social formation, cultural life and popular psychology in a specific period. It has a distinct character of the times. Internet catchwords show the latest cultural trends and social trends of all nations and nationalities, update quickly and involve a wide range of contents. However, due to the differences in language and social culture between China and the West, the translation of Internet catchwords will certainly take into account the cultural and social environment of the recipient group. Therefore, the translation of Internet catchwords is not only a simple communication problem. It is also a cultural issue. Researchers have done a lot of research on the translation of Internet buzzwords. They have discussed the content expression, translation strategies, translation techniques and so on, in order to solve the problems in the process of translating online buzzwords. This study is guided by the Skopos theory of translation, through the definition of translation Skopos. Source? This paper analyzes the characteristics and cultural connotations of internet buzzwords, and summarizes the translation methods of internet buzzwords in specific cultures. This paper is divided into five parts. The first part is the preface, the background of the research, the purpose and significance of the research and the framework of the paper. The second part is a literature review, which mainly summarizes the use of Skopos theory in theory, and summarizes the previous studies on the translation of popular words on the Internet. The third part is the theoretical framework, which traces the source of translation Skopos theory, introduces its basic points, defines network catchwords, and analyzes and sums up its linguistic and cultural characteristics. In order to further apply Skopos theory to the study of English translation of internet buzzwords. The fourth part is the main body of this paper, mainly from the perspective of Skopos theory of translation, to explore the translation methods and techniques that should be adopted in the translation of Chinese online buzzwords. Based on the analysis of a large number of examples of translating Chinese online buzzwords into English, this paper concludes five methods of translating Chinese online buzzwords: 1) literal translation method 2) transliteration method 3) annotation method 4) free translation method 5) creative translation. These five methods can effectively translate different types of Chinese online buzzwords into authentic English. The fifth part is the conclusion, summarizes the previous research results, the research defects and the future research direction, draws the conclusion that the E-E translation method based on Skopos theory has a strong application in the English translation of Chinese online buzzwords. It has important reference value and significance for the common development and prosperity of different cultures in the world. From the perspective of Skopos, this paper probes into the characteristics, translation methods and techniques of internet buzzwords in order to better understand them and adopt appropriate translation methods under specific cultural connotations. The semantic and cultural connotations of network catchwords are accurately transmitted to the recipient readers to realize the effectiveness of network catchwords in cross-language and cross-cultural communication.
