英语语言变化与电子通讯——当代美国青年在线交际语言特征管窥

【摘要】：该研究以美国网络上即时通讯、微博及电子书网站上的出版物为语料样本,分析了当代美国网民在线交际中所使用英语的语言特征。研究发现,大量使用缩写、缩略、重拼、标点符号、键盘符号、表情符号、图形、语码转换、语码混合、大小写、加粗、反斜等以获得特殊交际效果是在线交际语言的主要特征。作者认为,在线交际行为正挑战着传统的言语交际方式,在线交际的语言特征映射着当代快节奏的社会生活,也预示着未来英语语言变化的新趋势。
[Abstract]:Taking the publications on instant messaging, Weibo and e-book websites in the United States as corpus samples, this study analyzes the linguistic features of English used in the online communication of contemporary American netizens. It is found that the main characteristics of online communicative language are the extensive use of abbreviations, respelling, punctuation, keyboard symbols, emojis, graphics, code-switching, code mixing, case, thickening, anti-oblique and so on. The author holds that online communication behavior is challenging the traditional way of verbal communication, and the linguistic features of online communication reflect the fast-paced social life of contemporary times, and also predict the new trend of English language change in the future.
