中国英语学习者词汇联想模式发展研究

【摘要】:本研究探究了中国英语学习者的心理词汇联想模式,旨在探索二语心理词汇的存储模式和发展路径,并且试图分析词汇量对词汇联想模式的影响,研究问题如下:(1)一语和二语的心理词汇联想是怎样组织的?(2)对于不同阶段的学习者,心理词汇的联想模式遵循怎样的发展路径?(3)词汇量和词性是否对词汇联想模式产生影响?80名来自不同学习阶段的中国英语学习者参与了测试,包括40名来自江苏海头高级中学的高二学生和40名来自江苏科技大学的大二学生。本研究的测试工具包括:一语词汇联想测试、二语词汇联想测试、词汇量测试。通过对测试结果的编码,分类和分析,通过研究得出以下结论:第一,从一语词汇联想测试的分析可以看出,聚合,组合以及百科知识反应词的数量占据着相当大的比重,也就是说一语的心理词汇是语义联结为主的。从二语词汇联想测试的结果可以看出,聚合反应最多,组合反应和语音及其他反应次之。从一语和二语词汇联想模式的对比中可以发现,一语和二语心理词汇联想模式虽然存在异同,但是两者的词汇联想反应都是以语义联结为主。第二,通过对两组来自不同阶段学习者的英文词汇联想测试的结果对比分析发现,首先,对于两组学习者,二语心理词库都是以语义联结为主,其次,具有不同二语知识水平的学习者在词汇联想模式上存在差异,随着二语知识的增长和二语能力的提升,反应词的联结模式由语音向语义转变。第三,通过对词汇量和反应词之间的相关性分析发现,词汇量的大小并不能对词汇联想测试的反应词的类别产生显著影响,也就是说词汇量的大小不能直接作为衡量词汇联想能力的标准。通过对刺激词所激发的反应词所属类别的不同,分析了刺激词词性对词汇联想反应类型的影响,研究发现,来自不同词类,不同词频,实词和抽象词对词汇联想测试的反应词类别产生一定影响。
[Abstract]:This study explores the psychological lexical association model of Chinese English learners in order to explore the storage model and development path of second language psychological vocabulary, and tries to analyze the influence of vocabulary size on vocabulary association model. the research questions are as follows: (1) how is the psychological lexical association of first and second language organized? (2) for learners at different stages, What kind of development path does the association model of psychological vocabulary follow? (3) does vocabulary and part of speech have an impact on the lexical association model? 80 Chinese English learners from different learning stages took part in the test, including 40 sophomores from Jiangsu Haitou Senior Middle School and 40 sophomores from Jiangsu University of Science and Technology. The test tools of this study include first word association test, second language vocabulary association test and vocabulary size test. Through the coding, classification and analysis of the test results, the following conclusions are drawn through the study: first, from the analysis of the lexical association test, it can be seen that the number of aggregation, combination and encyclopedic knowledge response words accounts for a considerable proportion, that is to say, the psychological vocabulary of the word is mainly semantic connection. From the results of second language lexical association test, it can be seen that the polymerization reaction is the most, followed by combinational reaction, pronunciation and other reactions. From the comparison of first language and second language lexical association models, it can be found that although there are similarities and differences between one language and second language psychological vocabulary association models, the lexical association responses of one language and second language are mainly semantic connection. Secondly, through the comparative analysis of the results of two groups of English vocabulary association tests from different stages of learners, it is found that, for the two groups of learners, the second language psychological lexicon is mainly semantic connection. secondly, the lexical association patterns of learners with different second language knowledge levels are different. with the growth of second language knowledge and the improvement of second language ability, the connection pattern of reactive words changes from pronunciation to semantics. Thirdly, through the analysis of the correlation between vocabulary and reactive words, it is found that the size of vocabulary can not have a significant impact on the types of reactive words tested by lexical association test, that is to say, the size of vocabulary can not be directly used as a criterion to measure the ability of lexical association. Based on the different categories of reactive words stimulated by stimuli, this paper analyzes the influence of stimulating parts of speech on the types of lexical association responses. It is found that the types of reactive words from different parts of speech and different word frequencies, real words and abstract words have certain effects on the types of reactive words tested by lexical association.
