“语料库”方法在工科专业英语课堂词汇教学中的应用效果研究——以西南大学材料类专业英语教学为例

【摘要】:专门用途英语(ESP)是英语语言学教学领域的一门分支学科.长期以来,工科专业英语存在着学生学习兴趣不高、动力不足,教学方式和组织形式单一等问题,为提高专业英语词汇教学效果,以西南大学材料类专业英语为例,将"语料库"方法应用于材料类专业英语课堂词汇教学,探讨了"语料库"方法在工科专业英语课堂词汇教学中的应用效果.研究结果表明,将"语料库"方法应用于工科专业英语课堂词汇教学中,能明显提高学生对课堂教学的满意程度和整体教学效果,学生对专业英语重要性的认识和学习的主动性得到加强,兴趣明显提高.
[Abstract]:(ESP) is a branch of English linguistics teaching. For a long time, there are some problems in engineering English, such as low interest in learning, lack of motivation, single teaching mode and organization form, etc. In order to improve the effect of professional English vocabulary teaching, taking material major English of Southwest University as an example, the corpus method is applied to material English classroom vocabulary teaching, and the application effect of corpus method in engineering English classroom vocabulary teaching is discussed. The results show that the application of corpus method in English vocabulary teaching for engineering majors can obviously improve students' satisfaction with classroom teaching and the overall teaching effect. Students' understanding of the importance of professional English and their initiative in learning are strengthened, and their interest is obviously enhanced.
