《神奇的陌生人》（节选）汉译实践报告

　　随着我国文化“走出去”战略的不断深入,学习和利用地道的英文表达来讲好中国故事已变得愈加重要。英译汉与汉译英是一个相辅相成的过程,积累和借鉴地道的外语表达能够直接提高汉语文学作品外译本的传播。斯蒂芬·罗德里克所写《神奇的陌生人》,不仅是现代传记类文章的杰作,也是回忆录和报告文学题材深思熟虑的融合。整本书反映了军队服务的意义所在和作者父亲对作者的人生轨迹所带来的深刻影响。原材料是一部出色的当代美国文学作品,且到目前为止尚未被翻译成中文。因在有限的时间内需兼顾翻译质量,为确保故事的相对完整性,笔者在通读全书之后选取了1-4章进行翻译。该部分内容主要交代了全书的故事发生背景,书中所涉及的主要人物和性格亦能在此部分内容中得以了解。通过对该部分内容的翻译,作者发现了一些在具体的文学翻译实践中需要关注的地方。本报告主要对一些例子和翻译策略进行了详细的分析.笔者结合理解,表达,取舍的翻译策略,从译者和读者的双向角度出发分析探讨了该类文学翻译中一些需要重点关注的方面。本翻译实践报告能够为翻译学习者们今后的英译汉翻译实践提供一定的参考经验,引起包括笔者在内的翻译专业学生关于文学外文的思考。报告中积累的诸多...
