功能对等理论指导下的通识医学书籍翻译报告

　　本文是基于《断食完全指南》一书的英汉翻译实践报告。在翻译过程中,笔者以奈达的功能对等理论为指导,克服了通识医学读本翻译的重难点,如医学术语、长难句、非人称主语句以及显性衔接手段等的翻译。功能对等理论包含四项原则,即词汇对等、句子对等、语篇对等和文体对等,同时强调“意义大于形式”,因此译者只需要“自然地”再现原文的意义,而不必拘泥于形式,这也正是出版公司对该翻译的要求。从这种意义上讲,功能对等理论的确对这本通识医学书籍的翻译有很强的指导作用,这也体现在译前准备工作的相关文献综述中。报告中,笔者运用实例从定性的角度说明功能对等理论如何指导翻译。另外,笔者借助语料库工具（包括POS-tagger、NLPIR、AntConc和WordSmith）定量比较原文和译文,进一步解释二者之间如何实现对等。同时,该报告给译者带来反思。翻译之前要了解原文的语言特征及翻译难点。翻译过程中,如果语言之间的差异使原文和译文不能完全对等,应优先考虑意义对等。另外,翻译之后应审校译文,从而有效提高翻译能力。
