旅途生活：通勤如何改变城市生活（第三章）翻译实践报告

　　本翻译项目原文节选自大卫·比塞尔（David Bissell）的《旅途生活:通勤如何改变城市生活》（Transit Life:How Commuting Is Transforming Our Cities）。该书较为系统地向读者展示了通勤的各个方面,是关于通勤的重要著作。原文探讨通勤者如何管理时间,并讲述超级通勤者经历的考验与坎坷。虽然关于通勤的英文书籍较多,但中译本较少。本报告分为五章。第一章介绍翻译项目的背景、意义以及本报告的结构。第二章对原文的作者及主要内容进行介绍,并分析原文文本类型和语言特征。第三章阐述本报告的理论指导——目的论,此部分包括目的论概述、目的论三原则以及选择目的论作为理论指导的缘由。第四章在目的论的指导下,从词汇和句法两个层面对翻译难点进行分析,并提出相应的解决方法。为解决翻译难点,译者主要运用了意译的翻译方法以及增译、语态转换、拆分等翻译技巧。最后一章总结从翻译过程中得到的启示并指出翻译项目的不足之处。
