《基因不代表一切：如何使你的基因更适合你》（第一至三章）翻译实践报告

　　本文是一篇翻译报告。翻译原文选自《基因不代表一切:如何使你的基因更适合你》（Genetics Isn’t Everything:How to Make Your’G-e-n-e-s’Fit You）一书中的第一至三章。作者是全球认证的国际健身教练凯瑟琳·S·伊根。长期以来,人们一直认为基因决定了一切,祖辈所患的疾病也必定会遗传给自己。本书将16位女性与疾病抗争的故事与作者的相关研究相结合,试图打破这种传统认知。目前,中国对于表观遗传学的研究较少,译者拟通过本次翻译项目,让更多的中国读者认识这门学科,并重塑健康生活模式。根据纽马克的文本类型理论,原文本属于信息型文本。为了准确传递原文的内容,保证译文本的可读性,译者采取了“交际翻译”这一方法。原文中存在大量专业术语、定语从句和排比句。面对这些困难,译者阅读了相关平行文本并采用了不同的翻译技巧,例如增译、拆译、缩译法等。译者希望本报告中的一些启示和总结可以为同类型的信息类文本翻译提供一定的参考和帮助。
