“犹太价值观对商业伦理及职业选择的影响”翻译实践报告

  如今,犹太文化、价值观和思想已渗透到了现代生活的方方面面。本翻译项目报告原文是赫尔歇·H·弗里德曼(Hershey H.Friedman)教授所著的两篇论文:“犹太价值观对市场营销和商业实践的影响”(The Impact of Jewish Values on Marketing and Business Practice)及“从塔木德角度看理想的职业”(Ideal Occupation:The Talmudic Perspective)。这两篇论文里,弗里德曼分别阐述了《塔木德》以及《托拉》对犹太财富观和价值观的影响,从《塔木德》的角度论述了何为理想的职业。作为犹太人生活的重要书籍,《塔木德》不仅规范了传统犹太人的日常生活,还赋予了他们无穷的智慧。原文语言精练简洁,逻辑性较强。因此,译文的精确传达尤为重要。考虑到英汉语言表达习惯不同以及不同的文化,译者依托于尤金·奈达的功能对等理论对原文进行分析,力求在两种语言间达到功能对等的效果。译者从词汇对等、语义对等及与语篇对等层面上,探索了功能对等理论对原文翻译的指导,希望借此让译文读者对《塔木德》和犹太文化中的商业价值观有更深的了解。
