《语言的诞生：人类最伟大的发明》翻译实践报告

　　本报告是译者在对《语言的诞生:人类最伟大的发明》一书承担章节进行翻译后,撰写的翻译实践报告。该书英文原版出版于2017年,其译本预计在2020年初由中信出版社出版。与常见的语言学读物不同,该书并非深奥的理论,作者丹尼尔·埃弗里特在诠释相关理论的同时从各个学科中旁征博引。作者从古人类的崛起引开,尝试结合人类学、语言学、认知科学、古神经病学、考古学、生物学、神经科学和灵长类动物学等学科探究语言在人类进化过程中的发展。因此在翻译中不可避免出现大量各类学科的术语,而这正是翻译中的重点。本报告共分四个章节。第一章介绍、概述整个翻译项目,包括对源语文本和作者的介绍,以及翻译本书的意义。第二章报告整个翻译过程:从译前准备到创建翻译项目,以及最后的译后编辑和项目提交,其中着重说明整个翻译过程中遇到的困难,解决办法和使用的翻译工具,并辅以图表帮助说明。第三章将从读者接受度以及翻译技巧的视角进行具体的案例分析,包括术语翻译、人工翻译修改以及审校的环节。最后一章将对整个翻译过程进行总结,希望为其他翻译类似文本类型的译者提供些许参考和建议。
