【摘要】：教师教学负动机作为英语教学的一个新兴议题渐入人们的视野。以往负动机研究主要关注学生学习负动机影响因素,对教师教学负动机的研究却寥寥无几。本研究旨在进一步阐述教师教学负动机影响因素。在前人负动机研究的基础上,本研究着眼于调查高校教师教学负动机影响因素。研究问题如下:导致高校英语教师教学负动机的主要因素有哪些?教师教学负动机在不同高校间有何异同?本研究以江西省四所省级重点院校的192名大学英语教师作为研究对象。数据收集运用调查问卷、半结构式访谈这两种研究工具。研究结果表明:(1)通过因子分析得出五类负动机影响因子:学习者因素,社会评价,机构支持,科研环境和教学环境。其中学习者因素居于首位。同时,社会评价因素的呈现有别于西方国家的研究,显示出文化专有性特征对被试的突出影响。(2)不同类型院校在首要影响因子和相关题项关联度高低顺序中存在差异。(3)访谈进一步证实了学习者因素是教学负动机的主要来源。此外,访谈还发现女英语老师比男英语老师更易受学习者因素的影响。最后,本文为高校英语教师和学校提出如下教学方面的启示,以减少教师教学负动机:创建积极的课堂气氛;建立良好的英语教学环境;提供充足的进修和培训机会;给予英语教师更多的肯定和赞扬;在科研和教学间寻求平衡。
