【摘要】：本篇翻译实践报告是以《勇者激扬：褚时健传》中选取的第四章《亚洲烟王的辉煌与落寞》作为翻译文本,共计约11000字。此书语言朴实,通俗易懂,多用习语和四字格,夹杂中国特有文化表达,无主语句和复杂长句居多。作者根据选取的文本分析,发现它兼具信息性和表达性。结合人物传记的文本特征和语言特征,初步确定所选文本主要以纽马克的交际翻译策略为指导。本实践报告阐述了翻译时做的译前准备工作,翻译时遇到的困难,具体的解决方法和译文审校。在案例分析中,针对中国特色文化负载表达,复杂长句和大量无主语句等典型句子,在交际翻译指导下,具体运用增译隐含信息、省译冗余信息、切分复杂句、合译、转换词性和语态、重组句子和音译加注七种汉译英翻译方法,阐述自传翻译中遇到这些问题。从而,提高原文的可读性,让读者更好地接受译文,实现信息顺畅的传播。最后作者指出了本次翻译实践中的收获和局限,并展望了中国人物传记英译的前景。目前,市面上尚无褚时健传记的英译版。因此,本报告致力于他的传记翻译研究,有利于西方读者对褚时健进行全面深刻的了解。此外,报告探讨了《勇者激扬：褚时健传》中译英的翻译技巧,旨在更客观全面地向外国读者介绍中国的企业家,同时希望对中国人物传记的英译具有一定的借鉴和指导作用。
