　　本次翻译实践材料选自美国学者罗伯·尼克森的著作《慢性暴力与穷人的环境主义》(Slow Violence and the Environmentalism of the Poor)。该作品是环境批评领域重要的学术著作。笔者选择了该书的第一章和第二章作为此次翻译实践材料,并在此基础上撰写了翻译实践报告。尽管越来越多的西方著作被译介入国内,但关于学术著作的翻译研究相对较少。学术著作主要用来表达作者在某一领域的学术理论和学术观点,具有很强的专业性和逻辑性,且用词严谨,包含大量复杂长句。上述特点也构成笔者翻译的主要难点。笔者借用诺德的文本分析模式,在译前,从文外因素(文本作者或者发送者、发送者意图、文本的读者对象、文本的交际媒介或者渠道、文本生成和接受的时间和地点、交际动机)和文内因素(文本的主题、文本所表达的内容或者信息、文本的构成或者结构、文本的词汇特点、句法结构)两个角度对源语文本进行分析。通过分析源语文本,笔者充分了解翻译材料的语言特点、表达功能和翻译难点,并在此基础上探究相应的策略和方法。笔者发现词汇层面的难点主要集中在熟词僻义和专业术语的翻译上,句法层面的难点主要集中在插入语和复杂长句...
